CS Sfaxien Banned from Transfers Over Unpaid Debt to Former Player
CS Sfaxien has been dealt a major setback: the Tunisian Federation’s Disputes Committee has banned the club from recruiting new players until further notice. The decision stems from the club’s failure to settle an outstanding debt owed to former player Taoufik Salhi.
The amount in question is 140,300 Tunisian dinars (approximately €65,600). The ban will remain in effect until the debt is paid in full.
This comes at a difficult time for CS Sfaxien, which is already reeling from the departure of several key players during the winter transfer window. The inability to strengthen the squad could further complicate the club’s ambitions, both domestically and continentally.
