Tunisia has named a strong squad for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers against Comoros, with Hannibal Mejbri and Youssef Msakni headlining the list.

Hannibal Mejbri, who has been impressing at Burnley following his summer transfer from Manchester United, is once again part of the Carthage Eagles squad.

The talented midfielder has earned a call-up from head coach Faouzi Benzarti as Tunisia prepares for two key matches in their qualifying campaign.

Mejbri, known for his creativity and energy, will play a pivotal role as Tunisia looks to secure its place in the next edition of the continental tournament.

Joining him in the squad is Youssef Msakni, a seasoned attacker whose experience will be crucial in the double-header against Comoros.

The matches, scheduled for October 11 and October 15, will see Tunisia take on Comoros first in the away leg before hosting them in the return fixture.

Defensive stalwarts Montassar Talbi and Yassine Meriah have also been called up, along with Ali Abdi and Aissa Laidouni, adding depth and stability to the team.

With this mix of young talent and experienced players, Benzarti’s side looks well-prepared for the upcoming encounters.

Tunisia, aiming to maintain momentum in their quest for AFCON qualification, will be hoping to secure maximum points from the two matches.

With a strong squad and key players in form, the Carthage Eagles are confident of continuing their push for a place in the tournament, set to be held in 2025.

The upcoming fixtures offer an opportunity for the team to further solidify their standing in the group and inch closer to securing a spot in the prestigious competition.

Hannibal Mejbri’s inclusion, after his standout performances in the Premier League, adds an exciting dimension to the Tunisian midfield, while Youssef Msakni’s leadership will be critical in navigating what could be tricky encounters against a determined Comoros side.

Tunisia’s focus now turns to these decisive matches, where victory would put them in a commanding position to qualify for AFCON 2025.
