In the Tunisian capital, Club Africain secured a significant victory in the derby by defeating Esperance Sportive de Tunis with a scoreline of 2-0.
The hero of the match was undoubtedly Zouhaier Dhaouadi, whose contributions played a crucial role in Club Africain’s success. In a fiercely contested encounter, Dhaouadi found the back of the net twice, scoring in the 25th and 85th minutes. This triumph propels Club Africain to the top of Ligue 1, placing them two points ahead of their rivals, Esperance Sportive de Tunis.
Zouhaier Dhaouadi, originally developed at Kairouan Sports Youth, inked a four-year deal with Club Africain in July 2006. After becoming a free agent, he joined Évian Thonon-Gaillard Football Club on July 9, 2012, signing a three-season contract alongside national team striker Saber Khalifa. However, on December 29 of the same year, Dhaouadi mutually terminated his contract with the French club. He made a return to Club Africain later on.
