Club Africain (CA) has temporarily reclaimed the top position in the Tunisian Ligue 1 after securing a 1-0 win against Kairouan in a postponed match from the 25th round on Wednesday afternoon.
The decisive goal came from Tijani Belaid, who converted a penalty in the 24th minute, sealing the victory for the capital-based club.
With this win, CA moves to 52 points, edging out Étoile du Sahel and Espérance de Tunis, who are both tied in second place with 49 points. The race for the league title remains tight, with all three clubs in contention for the crown.
