The Tunisian Football Federation has announced five potential candidates to succeed Ruud Krol as the head coach of the Carthage Eagles.
Among these candidates are three French nationals and two locals: Hervé Renard, Sami Trabelsi, Roger Lemerre, Jacques Santini, and Mondher Kbaier.
Jacques Santini is the only candidate currently available, although he lacks experience on the African continent.
The other candidates are currently engaged in various coaching roles: Renard with Sochaux, Trabelsi with Al-Sailiya in Qatar, Lemerre with Etoile du Sahel, and Kbaier serving as the sports director at Club Africain.
The final decision regarding the next coach will be made after the friendly match against Colombia scheduled for March 5th. In the interim, the Tunisian team will be led by Nizar Khanfir.
