TS Galaxy hold talks with Adnan Beganovic over possible coaching return

TS Galaxy have made contact with former coach Adnan Beganovic as discussions over a possible reunion gather pace.

Beganovic has emerged as a potential option for Galaxy if the club decides to change its technical team after the FIFA international break. Soccer Laduma reported last week that the Bosnian coach was being considered.

There had been no formal approach at that stage, although Beganovic’s strong relationship with chairman Tim Sukazi and their continued communication meant a return remained possible.

The Siya crew has now been told that contact has been established and that talks are under way about Beganovic returning to the club.

“Contact has been made and they are talking. It is still early, so it will depend on how the discussions go, but a reunion is looking possible at this stage,” a source close to the situation told the Siya crew.

Beganovic is understood to be open to returning, although the outcome will depend on the progress of the discussions.

Parker’s position under scrutiny

Beganovic left Galaxy in April, before former Bafana Bafana striker Bernard Parker took over as head coach. Parker helped guide the Rockets to safety and was subsequently backed to remain in charge for the 2026/27 campaign.

However, his position has come under scrutiny after seven matches of the new season. Galaxy are understood to be considering changes to their technical team following the international break.

Should the club make a coaching change, Parker is expected to move into another role within Galaxy’s technical structure rather than leave the organisation altogether.

Beganovic’s familiarity with the club and his relationship with Sukazi could strengthen the possibility of his return. Talks between the two parties are understood to be continuing.

Beganovic has other options

The coach holds a UEFA Pro Licence and had also been linked with Richards Bay FC. That possibility ended when the KwaZulu-Natal club appointed Dimitar Pantev.

Beganovic is understood to have other options as he considers his next move, but his previous association with Galaxy has placed him firmly in contention should the Rockets decide to alter their coaching structure.

A return would reunite the club with a coach who previously worked there and maintain the established relationship between Beganovic and Sukazi. For now, the discussions remain at an early stage, with the final decision dependent on how negotiations develop.
