TS Galaxy President Tim Sukazi has confirmed that coach Sead Ramovic will be leaving the club to join North African giants Raja Club Athletic.
Ramovic’s departure ends speculation about his future and presents him with an opportunity to feature on the continent’s big stage in tournaments like the CAF Champions League.
Ramovic will complete his last assignment for Galaxy on Wednesday, July 24, when they face Tanzania’s Yanga FC in a friendly match.
He will be joined by assistant coaches Beganovic Adnan and Kodro Mustafa, as well as goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia.
Sukazi praised Ramovic’s opportunity, stating that Raja Casablanca is among the top five clubs in Africa and that the club is willing to release their people when called for better opportunities elsewhere.
Sukazi has already lined up a replacement for Ramovic, with an announcement expected in the next few days.
The new coach will take charge when Galaxy faces Germany’s FC Augsburg in the inaugural Mpumalanga Premier’s International Cup on Saturday.
Ramovic’s move to the Moroccan champions marks a significant milestone in his career as he replaces Josef Zinnbauer, who is leaving for an adventure in the Saudi Pro League.
