Trevor Chalobah calls on Chelsea to fix set piece problems after Arsenal loss

Trevoh Chalobah admits Chelsea only have themselves to blame after their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal, with both goals coming from dead-ball situations.

“We have to look at ourselves because we’ve been undone from two set-plays,” the defender said, reflecting on another frustrating afternoon for the team.

Chalobah stressed that set pieces are a big focus in training, which makes conceding from them even harder to accept.

“We work a lot on set-pieces, both defensively and offensively, and we know how strong Arsenal are at them. These are the little details and we need to improve on them,” he explained, underlining the importance of concentration and organisation.

For him, responsibility lies with every player on the pitch. “We have to know our roles both collectively and individually, and we all need to step up. We’ve conceded too many goals from set-pieces, that’s why we are where we are in the table,” Chalobah added, sending a clear message that Chelsea must tighten up quickly to turn performances into results.
