Treviso bring in Italy-Nigeria forward Raphael Odogwu from Sudtirol
Italy-Nigeria centre-forward Raphael Odogwu has joined Treviso from Sudtirol, giving the Serie C club a new attacking option for the 2026-27 season.
The 35-year-old completed the move on 5 August 2026 after six seasons with Sudtirol, where he arrived from Virtus Verona in 2020. Odogwu made 134 appearances in Serie B during his career, scoring 25 goals and providing 18 assists.
Odogwu’s move takes him to Treviso FBC 1993, who compete in Serie C – Group A. The Verona-born striker is listed at 1.88m and is left-footed, with centre-forward his primary position.
His time at Sudtirol included the club’s Serie C title-winning campaign in 2021-22. That achievement secured the midfielder? No, striker and club promotion from the third tier, adding a league honour to a career spent largely in Italy’s professional and semi-professional divisions.
Before joining Sudtirol, Odogwu played for Virtus Verona, having previously represented Arzignano, AltoVicentino, Renate and Real Vicenza. He began his senior career after coming through Chievo’s under-19 set-up before moving to Virtus Verona in 2008.
Across his recorded Serie D and Serie C campaigns, Odogwu scored 47 goals in 110 Serie D appearances and added 18 goals in 99 appearances across the two Serie C group competitions. He also scored four times in 11 Coppa Serie C matches and found the net once in four Serie C play-off appearances.
Odogwu’s career has included spells in each of Italy’s professional divisions represented in his record. His time in Serie B accounts for the largest number of appearances at that level, while his league title with Sudtirol remains his listed major honour.
Treviso have now added a forward with extensive experience of Italian football and a record of contributions across Serie B, Serie C and Serie D. Odogwu’s arrival was registered on 5 August 2026, completing his move from Sudtirol to the Serie C club.
