Despite the announcement of Trésor Mputu’s transfer to Kabuscorp with great fanfare, TP Mazembe’s president, Moïse Katumbi, has clarified that Mputu is still not officially a player of the Angolan club. Katumbi emphasized that Mputu is bound by a contract with TP Mazembe, and any club interested in his services must contact them. Katumbi expressed surprise at the premature announcement of the transfer and stated that Kabuscorp never contacted TP Mazembe regarding Mputu’s situation. As of now, Mputu remains a player of TP Mazembe, according to Katumbi, who mentioned interest from a club in Europe and another in Qatar for Mputu’s services.
