Trent Alexander-Arnold starts as Jude Bellingham drops to England bench against Czech Republic

Thomas Tuchel has named Trent Alexander-Arnold in England’s starting XI for Tuesday’s Nations League meeting with Czech Republic, while Jude Bellingham has been left out of the starting line-up.

Alexander-Arnold missed England’s opening fixture against Spain but returns at right-back as Tuchel makes several changes to the side that lost 3-2 at Wembley on Saturday.

The England manager has selected an attacking line-up featuring Harry Kane, Morgan Rogers, Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka. Bellingham is among the substitutes for the second-round match.

Ezri Konsa and Nico O’Reilly are unavailable because of injury, while Trevoh Chalobah and Lewis Hall are also given starts after not featuring against Spain.

Tuchel has used the match to test a different combination, bringing Alexander-Arnold, Chalobah, Hall and Rogers into the starting side.

Midfielders: Anderson, Lewis-Skelly, Morgan Rogers

Forwards: Bukayo Saka, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane

Czech Republic also began the competition with a defeat, losing 2-1 to Croatia in their opening match.

The result leaves both teams looking to secure their first points of the campaign. England’s loss to Spain came despite goals from their attacking players, while Tuchel has responded by altering the line-up for the second fixture.
