TP Mazembe Bolsters Squad with Two Ivorian Signings from Séwé Sport
The transfer window is officially open at TP Mazembe, and the Congolese giants are wasting no time. Still stinging from their semi-final exit in the CAF Champions League, the Ravens are already strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.
On Thursday, the club confirmed the signings of two promising Ivorian talents from Séwé Sport:
-
Roger Assalé, top scorer of the Ivorian championship
-
Christian Koffi Kouamé, a dynamic midfielder
Both players have committed to five-year contracts with Mazembe, signaling the club’s long-term ambitions. The signings were announced by head coach Patrice Carteron, who hinted at further reinforcements on the horizon.
“The arrival of these two players is just the beginning. We’ll be bringing in others soon, and I’m confident they’ll excite our supporters,” Carteron said. “To push TP Mazembe back to the top, we must continue to add top-quality talent.”
However, before joining their new club, Assalé and Kouamé still have one final duty with Séwé Sport: the CAF Confederation Cup final against Al Ahly, with the first leg set for November 29 and the return on December 6.
With this ambitious start to the transfer window, TP Mazembe is clearly signaling its intent to return stronger and reclaim its status among Africa’s elite.
