Johan Djourou, the Arsenal defender, is rumored to return to the Bundesliga. Having been loaned to Hannover 96 during the winter, the 26-year-old Swiss international may continue his venture in the German championship.
According to The Guardian, Arsenal is looking to part ways with Djourou, and a proposal has been made to Hamburg. Hamburg SV’s sporting director, Oliver Kreuzer, has stated, “It will be done,” indicating their willingness to permanently enlist the Ivorian-origin defender.
Djourou, who joined Arsenal in 2004, has previously been loaned to English club Birmingham City (2007-2008) and Hannover (January 2013), where he played 14 Bundesliga matches.
