The French Ligue 1 club Nancy has officially announced the signing of 23-year-old Nigerian striker Simon Zenke for a two-year contract.
Simon Zenke, who returns to France after playing the last two seasons at Samsunspor in the Turkish L1, joins Nancy as their ninth recruit in the summer transfer window. The club, under the leadership of President Jacques Rousselot, has been active in bolstering its squad. The previous eight signings include defender Vincent Muratori (signed for three years), midfielders Abdou Rahman Dampha (two years), Romain Grange (three years), Thomas Ayasse (three years), Salif Sané (four years), Yohan Mollo (four years), Thomas Mangani (two years), and Jeff Louis (three years).
In addition to new signings, central defender Sébastien Puygrenier and attacking midfielder Lossemy Karaboué have extended their contracts by three and one year, respectively.
After a challenging previous season where Nancy fought against relegation until the last day of the championship under the management of Jean Fernandez, the club aims for a more stable and successful season with the hope that the new recruits will contribute to their objectives.
