t’s official: OGC Nice has announced the departure of Kévin Gomis from the team. The midfielder is leaving Ligue 1 to join Nottingham Forest in England. Nottingham Forest currently ranks 5th in the Championship, the English second division. Gomis will be on loan until the end of the season, with Nottingham Forest having the option to purchase him permanently.
Gomis, who underwent a medical examination in the afternoon, has started six times in the league and made eight appearances since last summer. Since joining Nice from Naval in 2011, he has accumulated 36 appearances in Ligue 1. The 25-year-old had extended his contract with Nice last year until 2017.
