Pau FC (CFA) midfielder Hicham M’Laab is on the verge of a significant move this summer. After three seasons with Pau, the Franco-Moroccan player, who was trained at Stade Rennais, seems set to part ways with the club during the upcoming transfer window. M’Laab, the winner of the 2008 Gambardella Cup with Rennes, expressed his intention to move to a higher level, stating, “What is certain is that if I have to leave, it is to play at a higher level, because if I had to stay in CFA, it was in Pau and not elsewhere.”
There are indications that M’Laab, at 23 years old, could join the Robert Louis Dreyfus Center in July and compete in Ligue 1 for the upcoming season. According to Sud Ouest, M’Laab is in contact with Olympique de Marseille. However, his agent, Christophe Hutteau, remains cautious, stating, “It’s not false, but nothing has been signed yet.” Hutteau is also the agent of Mathieu Valbuena.
