Saphir Taider’s situation at Inter Milan is looking uncertain as the Algerian midfielder has seen very limited playing time during the second half of the season under coach Walter Mazzari.
Reports suggest that Taider could be on the move this summer, potentially heading south to Napoli in a swap deal involving Swiss midfielder Valon Behrami. According to dzfoot.com, Behrami already has a pre-agreement with Inter until 2017, with his transfer valued at around €2 million. Napoli’s president De Laurentiis values Taider much higher—around €10 million—which complicates a straightforward deal.
Inter’s new president, Erick Thohir, is open to including a midfielder in any exchange. Although Napoli is reportedly interested in another Inter midfielder, Kuzmanovic, Mazzari is keen to keep him but is ready to let Taider go.
Taider joined Inter last summer from Bologna and initially had a solid run of appearances, but since January, he has mostly been relegated to the bench. This potential move to Napoli could offer him a fresh start and more playing time.
