Courted by major Premier League clubs (Arsenal, Liverpool among others), Wilfried Zaha has been a Manchester United player since Friday.
The Crystal Palace winger (Football League Championship, English second division) has signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils.
According to the BBC, Man Utd paid 10 million pounds (approximately 12 million euros) and 5 million pounds (approximately 6 million euros) in possible bonuses to enlist him.
The England international hopeful is “delighted to join Manchester United”. But as stipulated in the contract, he will finish the season with his training club on loan. “I would like to thank the owners of Crystal Palace who made this transfer possible, however I will only be concerned with Palace for the next five months. I have been here for over 10 years, I will always love this club and I want to help them get back to the Premier League. Especially for the fans who have always been good to me”, declared the native of Abidjan (Ivory Coast).
