Luis Suarez Open to Real Madrid Move Despite Liverpool Commitment
Luis Suarez, who recently extended his contract with Liverpool, has not ruled out the possibility of a move to Real Madrid, according to his agent Alejandro Balbi. Speaking on Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Balbi revealed that while Suarez has become an Anfield idol, the lure of a big offer from the Spanish giants could prove hard to resist.
“A year ago, Luis could have left Liverpool for Arsenal. Now it’s very difficult because he’s become an idol at Anfield, but there are clubs that can offer a lot of money. If there was a very big offer from Real Madrid, it would be very difficult to say no. Luis has always loved Spain,” Balbi said.
Last season, despite injury setbacks, Suarez scored an impressive 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances. He is currently sidelined but remains selected for the 2014 World Cup.
With Real Madrid known for their ambition in the transfer market, a move for Suarez remains a tantalizing possibility.
