Senah Mango Departs Marseille for Luzenac After Promising Loan Spell
Togolese defender Senah Mango has officially left Olympique de Marseille, signing a two-year contract with newly promoted Ligue 2 side Luzenac, with an optional third year. The move marks a permanent exit from OM after several seasons of limited opportunities and multiple loan spells.
According to La Provence, Mango, 22, impressed Luzenac officials during his loan stint at the club this past season, prompting them to secure his services as they prepare for their debut campaign in France’s second tier. His consistent performances in defence played a key role in Luzenac’s successful promotion push.
Once regarded as a bright prospect in Marseille’s youth academy, Mango struggled to break into the senior team and was often sent out on loan to gain experience. Previous spells at Monaco, Uzès Pont du Gard, and most recently Luzenac, showcased flashes of his potential but failed to lead to a breakthrough at OM.
Despite being highly rated as a teenager, Mango’s career at Marseille never fully took off. He signed his first professional contract only upon reaching the eligible age and soon found himself on the periphery of the squad. Now, with his contract at Marseille expiring, the Togolese international is seeking a fresh start in Ligue 2.
For Mango, the move to Luzenac represents both a new challenge and a chance to finally establish himself as a regular at the professional level. For Luzenac, his signing adds valuable experience and continuity to a side looking to solidify its place in the competitive landscape of Ligue 2.
