TRANSFER RUMOURS – PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS EYE NICOLAS NKOULOU
Currently representing Cameroon at the 30th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea, Nicolas Nkoulou could be heading for a change of scenery once the tournament concludes.
The Olympique de Marseille central defender, back in top form this season after a challenging previous campaign, has reportedly caught the attention of several Premier League clubs. With his contract set to expire in June 2016, OM may be tempted to sell to avoid losing him on a free next year.
According to the Daily Express, West Ham United, Arsenal, and Manchester United are among the clubs closely monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation. A product of the AS Monaco academy, Nkoulou has long been praised for his composure, intelligence, and reading of the game — qualities that could prove valuable in the fast-paced English game.
Should a move materialize, it would mark a significant step in Nkoulou’s career, offering him a chance to prove himself in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues. For now, however, his focus remains firmly on helping Cameroon succeed at AFCON 2015.
