Caen Eye Move for Nancy Midfielder Lossemy Karaboué Amid Survival Push

Stade Malherbe de Caen are reportedly interested in bolstering their midfield with the addition of Nancy’s Lossemy Karaboué as they look to continue their resurgence in Ligue 1 and avoid relegation.
According to Ouest-France, the Normandy-based club have placed the 26-year-old midfielder on their radar during the winter transfer window. Karaboué, formerly of Sedan, has had limited playing time this season at Nancy, featuring in just 16 Ligue 2 matches.
Despite his reduced role in the Lorraine side, Nancy are reportedly reluctant to release the player before the end of the season. The club sees Karaboué as a valuable squad member and, for now, appear unwilling to negotiate a mid-season departure.
Caen, meanwhile, have shown renewed form in recent weeks, notching back-to-back emphatic 4–1 victories against Reims and Rennes. Those results have reignited hope in their fight for survival and given manager Patrice Garande reason to look for reinforcements to maintain the momentum.
Karaboué, known for his versatility and work rate in midfield, could provide Caen with added depth and creativity as they push to stay clear of the drop zone. Whether Nancy will reconsider their stance before the transfer window closes remains to be seen.
