Antoine Kombouaré Takes a Patient Approach to RC Lens Transfer Business
RC Lens coach Antoine Kombouaré is adopting a calm and measured stance amid the summer transfer window, emphasizing that there is still plenty of time to strengthen the squad.
“Obviously, we need reinforcements. We are working on it and have already started reaching out to the players we want to bring in,” Kombouaré told Lensois.com. “But I hate complaining, so we’ll see the new signings soon enough. We are clearly far from the true face of RC Lens at the moment.”
The former Paris Saint-Germain boss, born in Burkina Faso, underlined that the transfer window remains open until September 1st, allowing the club the whole of August to complete their recruitment.
“We’ve put ourselves at a certain disadvantage, but we’re working hard. What has happened since the start of June is ancient history,” he added.
Kombouaré’s pragmatic approach reflects his focus on steady progress and careful squad building ahead of the new campaign.
