Luis Suarez’s transfer to FC Barcelona is now official!
Barça announced the signing of the 27-year-old Liverpool striker, who scored 31 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season. Suarez will join the Catalan club on a five-year deal for a fee estimated between €73 million and €75 million.
Despite his recent four-month suspension from all football activities and a nine-match ban for Uruguay due to the World Cup biting incident, Suarez is allowed to transfer and will join Barcelona’s squad and training facilities starting in October.
He will take the iconic number 9 shirt at Camp Nou.
