The Chasselay amateur team continues to attract former big names from Ligue 1. Following Ludovic Giuly and Sidney Govou, the club has now secured the services of Jaouad Zaïri.
At 31 years old, Zaïri, a former Moroccan international, has joined Chasselay until the end of the season. Known for his dazzling dribbling skills that used to trouble opponents during his time at Sochaux, Zaïri recently underwent a trial at Valladolid in Spain last November, though it was not successful.
Having previously played for clubs such as Nantes, Sochaux, and Gueugnon in France, Zaïri has also had stints in Greece with Tripolis, Olympiakos, and Giannina, as well as in Cyprus with Famagusta, where he did not achieve notable success in recent years.
