Trabzonspor reach reported two-year agreement to sign Mohamed Salah

Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor have reportedly reached an agreement with Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah on a two-year contract, in what would be one of the most high-profile transfers of the summer if the deal is completed.

According to multiple reports from Turkey, the Black Sea club have agreed personal terms with the former Liverpool star following advanced negotiations with his representatives.

The proposed agreement is said to run for two years, with Trabzonspor emerging as the frontrunners to secure the signature of the 34-year-old forward after overtaking rivals Beşiktaş in the race for his services.

Reports indicate that Trabzonspor submitted an improved offer worth around €17 million per season, significantly enhancing their chances of landing the Egyptian international.

The club’s ambitious proposal is believed to have convinced Salah’s camp as negotiations progressed in recent days.

Salah became a free agent after bringing his illustrious spell at Liverpool to an end, concluding a remarkable chapter that saw him establish himself as one of the Premier League’s greatest players.

During his time at Anfield, he won multiple major honours, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup, while also collecting numerous individual awards.

Should the transfer be finalised, Salah would become the biggest signing in Trabzonspor’s recent history and provide a major boost to the club’s ambitions of challenging for domestic honours and making an impact in European competition next season.

However, despite widespread reports of an agreement, Trabzonspor president Ertuğrul Doğan has publicly denied that a deal has been completed, insisting that no official agreement has yet been reached with the Egyptian star.

Neither Trabzonspor nor Salah’s representatives have officially announced the transfer, meaning the move remains subject to final confirmation.

Nevertheless, reports suggest discussions are at an advanced stage, with an official announcement expected if the remaining formalities are successfully concluded.
