Trabzonspor raise season-ticket target to 25,000 after Mohamed Salah deal

Trabzonspor have sold a club-record 18,000 season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign, just hours after completing the signing of Egypt forward Mohamed Salah.

The Turkish club confirmed on Saturday that season-ticket sales had reached their highest total in its history, providing an early indication of the excitement generated among supporters by Salah’s arrival.

Trabzonspor now want to increase that figure further, setting a new target of 25,000 season tickets before the start of the new season.

“Some numbers are not only about quantities. Some numbers tell the story of a city’s belief, a sense of belonging and the strength of a community united as one entity,” the club said in a statement published on its official account.

“Today, the name of this number is 18,000. By reaching 18,000 season tickets for the 2026-27 season, we have broken the historic record for the highest season-ticket sales in the history of our club.”

The club said the achievement had been made possible by “proper planning, collective wisdom, patience and hearts that believe in the same goal”, before announcing its ambition to sell a further 7,000 tickets.

Season tickets for Trabzonspor’s Turkish league matches are now available to buy.

The record comes only a few hours after Trabzonspor completed their major deal for Salah, a move that has raised expectations among the club’s supporters ahead of the new campaign.

It is difficult to separate the effect of Salah’s signing from the other factors that may have contributed to the increase in demand. However, the timing of the announcement and the club’s arrival at the new record provide an early commercial and fan-related indication of the impact the Egypt international could have.

Salah is one of the most prominent players to have been linked with Trabzonspor in recent years. His arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to attendances and the Turkish club’s commercial appeal.
