Trabzonspor push to keep Andre Onana on loan
Trabzonspor are determined to keep Andre Onana for another season and have already moved to extend his stay beyond this summer.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper joined the Turkish side on loan last September after Manchester United brought in Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp, with no option to buy included in the deal.
With his Old Trafford future unclear and playing time far from guaranteed, Trabzonspor have now submitted formal offers to both Manchester United and Onana.
Their proposal is centred on a fresh loan agreement with improved financial terms aimed at convincing all parties. Onana, 30, has asked for some time to weigh up his options and is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks, while Trabzonspor are ready to move on to other targets if he turns them down.
Onana made 33 appearances for the club last season, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 40 goals. Despite that record, his overall performances have impressed Trabzonspor’s hierarchy enough for them to push strongly for another deal and try to keep him at the heart of their project next season.
