Trabzonspor president denies interest in Al Ahly defender Mohamed Hany

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has dismissed reports linking the club with a move for Al Ahly and Egypt right-back Mohamed Hany.

Hany has been linked with a possible switch to the Turkish Super Lig as the winter transfer window approaches.

The enterprising defender’s future at Al Ahly remains uncertain, with talks over a contract renewal yet to reach a final agreement.

However, Trabzonspor president Dogan has now moved to clarify his club’s position, denying both the existence of an offer for Hany and any interest in signing the Egyptian international.

“It is not true that we have made an offer or that we are interested in signing Mohamed Hany,” Dogan said as quoted by winwin.

The Turkish club chief’s comments effectively put an end, at least for now, to reports connecting Hany with a move to Trabzonspor.

Hany remains contracted to Al Ahly, where he continues to be an important option at right-back. His situation has attracted attention amid uncertainty surrounding his contract renewal, but there is currently no indication from Trabzonspor that the club intends to pursue the Egypt international.

For now, the defender remains focused on his commitments with Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team, while discussions over his long-term future at the Cairo giants continue.
