Jérémie Boga faces a challenging season at OGC Nice, and his future at the club now appears increasingly uncertain.
The Ivorian winger continues to struggle for regular minutes after a previous campaign marked by repeated absences, and the tension between him and the clubs supporters has reached a worrying level.
During Nice’s sixth straight defeat, a 3–1 loss to Lorient last Sunday, a section of the fans turned their frustration toward Boga.
They voiced their anger and confronted him physically and verbally, blaming him for his performances and accusing him of giving match tickets to Marseille friends for the recent fixture against OM, a claim reported by RMC Sport.
The aftermath of that night has left Boga in a delicate position. Restoring confidence between him and the supporters looks nearly impossible, and the strained environment adds further doubt about his long term future at Nice.
With his standing at the club weakened, the possibility of a departure during the winter window has gained momentum.
Turkey has emerged as a realistic landing spot. Fotomaç reports that Trabzonspor, who already explored a move in the summer, continues to track Boga closely and has now made the 28 year old a key target for January.
The club seeks to reinforce its attack as it competes for both the league title and European qualification.
Despite turning down Trabzonspor’s interest in the last window, Nice may soon face renewed discussions.
Boga remains under contract until June 2027 and holds a market value of around €10 million according to Transfermarkt.
So far this season, he has made 20 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists. His annual salary stands at €2,780,000.
With tensions rising in Nice and Trabzonspor pressing ahead, the winter transfer window could mark a decisive moment in Boga’s career.
