Trabzonspor celebrates Mohamed Salah’s arrival with message linking Turkey and Egypt

Trabzonspor has thanked supporters in Egypt and around the world for the overwhelming response to Mohamed Salah’s arrival at the Turkish club.

The club issued a statement welcoming the widespread reaction that followed the announcement of the Egyptian forward’s move to its squad. It expressed particular gratitude to supporters in Egypt, while also acknowledging messages of congratulations and goodwill sent from elsewhere.

“By joining Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor, we would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for all the messages, congratulations and good wishes that have reached our club from all over the world, especially from Egypt,” the statement said.

“Wherever you come from in the world, our doors are open, our city is open and our stands are open.”

The message was directed towards Trabzonspor’s own supporters as well as the wider audience that has followed Salah’s career, with Egypt singled out for special recognition.

It also underlined the scale of the interest generated by the completion of the agreement with the former Egyptian star, as reactions spread across national borders and connected supporters in Turkey, Egypt and the United Kingdom.
