TP MAZEMBE: SYLVAIN GBOHOUO SET TO RETURN TO TRAINING
Great news for TP Mazembe fans! The Lubumbashi-based club is close to welcoming back Sylvain Gbohouo, the talented Ivorian goalkeeper who made waves during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gbohouo, who joined the Congolese giants shortly after his standout performances at AFCON, had been sidelined with a left knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery. The former Séwé Sport shot-stopper traveled to Qatar for treatment, where he has been steadily recovering.
Now, a month and a half post-surgery, Gbohouo is nearing a full return. According to TP Mazembe’s official website, the club’s medical staff is preparing to reintegrate him into training next week, pending a final routine checkup.
This comeback will be a major boost for the Ravens, as they look to reinforce their squad with one of Africa’s most promising goalkeepers.
