TP Mazembe confirmed that discussions between Samatta and club chairman Moïse Katumbi have been ongoing. “Mbwana Samatta and Chairman Moïse Katumbi held long discussions to finalize the arrangements regarding the possible departure of the Tanzanian striker. The destination of the top scorer in the CAF Champions League and best African player based on the continent will be known in the coming hours,” the club stated on its official website.
In recent days, Samatta has been linked to French side Nantes and Ligue 1 leaders Marseille. However, TP Mazembe has hinted that other possibilities exist. “Alongside the Belgian and French clubs that have knocked on TPM’s door, what if the young Tanzanian landed in Spain? Beware of the rumors five days before the end of the winter transfer window,” the Ravens added.
