**TP Mazembe Crowned African Champions**
TP Mazembe have claimed the CAF Champions League title for the fifth time in their history. After securing a 2-1 victory over USM Alger in the first leg of the final, the Ravens confirmed their dominance at home in Lubumbashi on Sunday, winning 2-0 at the Kamalondo Stadium.
USM Alger held strong in the first half, but Mazembe broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Aly Samatta converted a penalty after Roger Assalé was fouled in the Algerian box. The final blow came in stoppage time (90+3) from Assalé himself, sealing the victory.
TP Mazembe’s previous continental triumphs came in 1967, 1968, 2009, and 2010, solidifying their place among Africa’s elite clubs.
