On the 21st day of the 1st Division national football championship, Tout Puissant Mazembe secured a dominating victory over Sanga Balende with a score of 4-1 in Lubumbashi. The match highlighted the impressive performance of Bwana Samatta, who scored a brace. Trésor Mputu (47′) and Deo Kanda (78′) also contributed goals for TP Mazembe.
With this win, TP Mazembe is now four points behind As Vclub, the current championship leader with 62 points. The Lubumbashi club is set to face Lupopo in a postponed match for the 15th day on November 10. The originally scheduled meeting on October 27 was canceled due to regrettable incidents between supporters of the two teams.
TP Mazembe’s upcoming fixtures include matches against As Vclub on November 18 and DCMP (Daring Club Motema Pembe), with the date of the latter yet to be specified.
