Tour du Faso 2026: Saturnin Yameogo in five-rider breakaway on fifth stage

A five-man breakaway is leading the way on the fifth stage of the 37th Tour du Faso, with Burkina Faso’s Saturnin Yameogo among the riders clear of the peloton on the route from Bobo-Dioulasso to Pa.

The escape group has built a lead of 3 minutes and 10 seconds over the main field as the stage continues.

Yameogo is joined by Morocco’s Adil El Arbaoui, Dutch rider Philip Heijnen of Universe Cycling Team, Algeria’s Azzedine Lagab and Cameroon’s Tiencheu Michel Boris.

The group represents Burkina Faso in the breakaway through Yameogo, with all five riders working to preserve their advantage over the peloton as they make progress towards Pa.
