Jonathan Zebina made a return to Toulouse’s starting lineup for the first time this season in the match against Ajaccio last weekend. The defender, who had lost his starting position due to injury, had previously contemplated leaving the club to secure more playing time. Under contract until June 2014, the Martinican player now appears to be regaining his form and is determined to finish the season with Toulouse.
“I think I have gained momentum,” Zebina stated in an interview with La Dépêche du Midi. “I finished the match (against AC Ajaccio, 1-1). Besides, it’s been a while since I thought I was capable of it… I’m back physically well. I’m playing now, I’m happy. So as long as it’s like this, you will continue to see me around here, at the Stadium. At least until the end of my contract in June.” Zebina’s commitment to the team signals a positive turn for both the player and Toulouse as they navigate the season.
