Toulouse linked with Malian-Ivorian midfielder Habib Keita after Kocaelispor move

Toulouse have been linked with Malian-Ivorian midfielder Habib Keita, who currently plays for Kocaelispor in Turkey’s Super Lig.

Keita, 24, joined Kocaelispor permanently from Clermont Foot on 1 July 2026 after spending the previous season at the Turkish club on loan. The transfer fee was €700,000, with the central midfielder signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

The move to Toulouse would represent a return to France for Keita, who joined Clermont from Lyon in July 2023 for €1.2m. He previously spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Belgian club KV Kortrijk.

Keita made 28 Super Lig appearances during his time with Kocaelispor, scoring once and providing two assists. He has also played in Ligue 1, making 31 appearances and scoring one goal, while recording four assists in Ligue 2.

The reported interest comes with Keita’s market value listed at €2.5m. However, there is no indication that a transfer agreement has been reached between Toulouse and Kocaelispor.

Keita was born in Bamako and is eligible to represent Mali and Ivory Coast. He remains a Kocaelispor player, with two years left on his current contract.
