Ibrahim Sangaré, under contract with Toulouse until June 2022, has been one of the standout performers for the club this season. Despite dealing with an injury that limited his appearances, the Ivorian midfielder featured in 26 Ligue 1 matches, showcasing his quality and consistency.
His performances have not gone unnoticed. Olympique Lyonnais is reportedly monitoring Sangaré closely, particularly as they anticipate the possible departure of Tanguy Ndombele this summer. The Lyon management sees the 22-year-old as a potential solution to reinforce their midfield.
According to L’Équipe, informal discussions between the clubs have already begun. Lyon is said to be preparing a bid in the region of €15 million to secure Sangaré’s services, highlighting their serious interest in the promising Ivorian talent.
Sangaré’s strong physical presence, tactical awareness, and ability to control the midfield make him a prime candidate to step into the Ligue 1 heavyweight’s squad if the transfer materializes.
