“I’m feeling increasingly at home here, actually! My grasp of French is improving, and I’ve grown fond of the people’s mentality and lifestyle,” Braithwaite shared with Francefoot.com.
He reminisced about an incident during the farmers’ protests, where tractors flooded the town streets, hindering his return home. “Usually, tractors are out in the fields, but that day, they were everywhere in town, blocking access to my street!”
Regarding Toulouse’s performance, Braithwaite noted a peculiar trend: “Interestingly, we’re not fixated on whether we play at home or away. Our focus is solely on winning, regardless of the venue. However, it’s true that we often find more opportunities playing away. Moreover, the entire team now has a better understanding of our roles and the tactical system.”
