Tottenham Determined to Keep Bentaleb Amid Premier League Interest

Tottenham Hotspur are determined to hold on to rising star Nabil Bentaleb, with the club preparing an improved contract offer to secure the Algerian international’s long-term future at White Hart Lane.

Despite being under contract until 2018, Spurs are reportedly ready to offer Bentaleb a significant pay rise to ward off interest from other clubs. According to the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old midfielder is set to be offered a salary of £35,000 per week (approximately €48,800), reflecting his growing importance to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

While no formal bids have yet been made, several Premier League sides are believed to be closely monitoring Bentaleb’s performances. The player has been a consistent presence in the heart of Tottenham’s midfield this season, making 20 Premier League appearances and featuring in five Europa League matches.

Though he has yet to score this season, Bentaleb’s contribution in a deeper role has been highly valued. With over 900 successful passes and an 86% pass completion rate, his composure on the ball and distribution have drawn praise from analysts and fans alike. He has also provided two assists in league play, underlining his growing influence in build-up phases.

Having emerged from the club’s youth academy, Bentaleb has quickly become a key part of Tottenham’s midfield engine. His defensive discipline, ability to read the game, and technical skill have helped him establish himself both at club level and with the Algerian national team.

Spurs are eager to avoid a repeat of situations in which top talents have been lured away, and securing Bentaleb’s services with a new deal is seen as a priority ahead of the summer transfer window.

With Tottenham building a youthful and dynamic squad, tying down core players like Bentaleb sends a strong message of intent as they look to challenge for honours in the coming seasons.
