Tottenham eye move for Omar Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to submit an official offer for Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush amid uncertain future at Manchester City.

Marmoush has struggled to command a starting role since joining the Premier League powerhouse from Frankfurt.

According to reports, Tottenham have emerged as one of the strongest contenders to sign the Egyptian international, with growing indications that Marmoush could leave Manchester City in search of more regular playing time.

The 26-year-old attacker reportedly struggled to secure a consistent role last season following changes within the club’s technical setup. After the departure of Pep Guardiola from the Etihad Stadium, Enzo Maresca took over managerial duties, but Marmoush still found opportunities limited throughout the campaign.

As per reports, Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi is a strong admirer of Marmoush’s profile and views the Egyptian as an ideal addition to strengthen the club’s attacking department ahead of the new season.

The London club are believed to value Marmoush’s versatility, pace, and creativity, with the forward capable of operating across several attacking positions. His ability to score goals while also creating opportunities for teammates has reportedly made him a priority target for Spurs.

Preparations are said to be underway for Tottenham to submit a formal bid in the coming days as they attempt to move ahead of rival clubs in the race for his signature.

While Tottenham appear increasingly serious about the deal, they are not alone in pursuing the Egyptian international. Turkish giants Galatasaray SK are also pushing strongly for Marmoush and reportedly prefer an initial loan move with an option to buy.

Besides, Galatasaray are believed to be preparing a substantial financial package, while talks involving the player’s representatives are expected to intensify next week.

Meanwhile, Juventus FC continue to monitor the situation closely. The Italian club reportedly consider Marmoush one of their options to reinforce the attack, particularly after his successful spell with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.

There is also interest from Aston Villa FC and FC Barcelona, while several German clubs are said to be tracking developments.

Despite the growing interest, Manchester City are reportedly demanding at least €60 million to consider selling Marmoush permanently. His salary, believed to be around €10 million annually, could also complicate negotiations for some interested clubs.

However, reports suggest the possibility of a loan deal remains open if suitable conditions are met.

At this stage of his career, Marmoush is understood to be prioritizing regular football and a more prominent role within a team’s attacking structure. That desire has fueled speculation that a move away from Manchester City could be the best solution for both player and club.

As the transfer window progresses, all indications suggest that Omar Marmoush’s future will remain one of the major stories to watch in European football.
