Nigeria Eyes Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu as Potential Super Eagles Reinforcement

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring the progress of German goalkeeper of Nigerian descent Noah Atubolu, amid potential squad changes in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Reports suggest that Spurs’ current goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, is on Inter Milan’s radar, where he could be positioned as the club’s number one next season.

With Vicario potentially departing, Tottenham are seeking reinforcements in goal and have turned their attention to promising talents in Germany.

According to Fussballeuropa, Tottenham’s recruitment team is assessing a move for the 23-year-old Atubolu, who currently guards the posts for SC Freiburg.

The Freiburg goalkeeper has caught attention for his agility, composure, and shot-stopping abilities, making him an appealing option for Premier League competition.

However, a potential transfer would come at a high cost. Freiburg are reportedly asking for at least €30 million for Atubolu. With his contract running until the summer of 2027, the club may be forced to sell next year if an extension is not agreed upon.

Interestingly, Atubolu has also attracted interest from Inter Milan, who are keeping close contact with the player’s representatives, meaning Spurs may face competition in their pursuit of the young goalkeeper.

This development positions Atubolu as one of the more closely watched goalkeeping prospects in Europe ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window.
