Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has been dealt another blow in his injury-plagued campaign, with a fresh setback expected to keep him out of action.

Bissouma, who is yet to make an appearance for the Premier League outfit returned to action during the October international break, featuring in Mali’s game against Madagascar.

Unfortunately, the enterprising succumbed to another injury setback in a high-stake 2026 World Cup qualification game on Sunday.

Bissouma was introduced into the game in the 66th-minute mark, but had to be subbed off six minutes later due to an injury setback.

The 29-year-old was replaced by Amadou Haidara as Mali cruised to an emphatic 4-1 over Madagascar at the Stade 26 Mars.

However, it was a victory without celebration for Mali, falling short to Ghana, who secured automatic qualification to the upcoming 2026 World Cup tournament.

The midfielder will travel back to England to undergo further medical test to determine the extent of the injury. Bissouma now faces a further spell on the sidelines due to latest setback.
