Tottenham: Pochettino Confirms Clear-Out—Soldado, Adebayor, and Lennon Not in His Plans
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed a major shake-up in the club’s attacking department. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, the Argentine coach stated that Roberto Soldado, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Aaron Lennon are no longer part of his plans.
“I no longer count on Roberto Soldado, who was authorized by the club to fly to Spain to negotiate his departure, Emmanuel Adebayor, and Aaron Lennon, to whom I have informed since the end of last season,” said Pochettino.
While Soldado is on the verge of returning to Spain, Adebayor, who had been strongly linked with Aston Villa, now sees that move slipping away. Nevertheless, Spurs hope to secure a transfer for the Togolese striker before the window closes.
