Gareth Bale has become a Real Madrid player since the end of the transfer window, leaving Spurs without the Welsh striker this season. However, this departure hasn’t deterred Tottenham from aiming for titles with major recruits like Roberto Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue, Nacer, or Eriksen. According to Spurs coach André Villas-Boas, these transfers demonstrate the club’s ambition.
“We have invested a lot in young players who have great potential. We will have to work well with them so that they become world stars. They all have big ambitions, that’s one of the criteria we were looking for. And now a team is being put in place that will work together to win titles,” declared the Portuguese in comments relayed by the Daily Star.
