Sudan defender Mustafa Karshom is a major doubt for the crucial 2026 World Cup qualification matches against Senegal and South Sudan.
The Falcons of Jediane will face Senegal on March 18 before taking on South Sudan on March 24 in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifiers in Group B.
Currently on top of Group B with 10 points, Sudan will be hoping for positive results to maintain their lead.
But Sudan has suffered a major setback few days to the qualifier as top defender Mustafa Karshom is set to miss the matches due to injury.
Karshom is considered as one of the best players in the Sudan squad and his absence will be a major blow for coach Kwesi Appiah.
The defender has had limited game time for Al-Suwaihli in the Libyan league due to injuries, making him a major doubt for the qualifiers.
Meanwhile, the Sudan national team arrived in Benghazi, Libya, on Saturday and will continue preparation for the matches against Senegal and South Sudan in the World Cup qualifiers.
