German-born teenager of Togolese descent, Zaid Amoussou-Tchibara has suffered a cruciate ligament tear.
The talented forward suffered an injury in the German Bundesliga 2 match between Schalke 04 and Darmstadt over the weekend.
In that game, Zaid Amoussou-Tchibara injured his knee and could not finish the game.
Today, Schalke have indicated that the player has suffered a torn cruciate ligament.
This will see the forward spending months on the sidelines.
