Having been elected to the Togolese National Olympic Committee on June 22, the new office officially assumed its responsibilities, taking over from the previous team. The handover ceremony transpired on Wednesday morning at the committee’s headquarters in Lomé.
Auguste Dogbo and the rest of the new members have now officially assumed their roles, succeeding the previous office led by General Poutoyi Nabédé.
The president of the outgoing team acknowledged the significance of the new leadership, stating, “Our election was not by chance. The members of the assembly detected qualities in you. I wish my congratulations and admiration to the entire new team.”
Expressing gratitude for the actions taken during the congress, the new president of the Togolese National Olympic Committee, Auguste Dogbo, thanked General Nabédé and reassured him of continued collaboration. Dogbo emphasized that Nabédé has not truly left the Olympic committee, considering his role as the president of the Togolese Athletics Federation. He expressed his commitment to learning from the experiences of both General Gnofam and General Nabédé, pledging to ensure effective management of the committee under his leadership.
