The Togo U17 Sparrowhawks initiated a comprehensive week-long training regimen on Sunday under the astute guidance of Coach Maurice Noutsoudje. The tournament, scheduled to unfold from May 15 to 29, is a significant platform for emerging talents to showcase their prowess on the regional stage.
The inaugural session, held at the JCA Stadium, marked the beginning of an intensive training program designed to hone the skills and teamwork of the young Togolese footballers.
Under the watchful eye of Coach Noutsoudje Maurice, 34 players actively participated in a range of drills and exercises aimed at refining key aspects of their game.
Coach Noutsoudje provided insights into the initial training session, stating, “We started the internship yesterday.
We were at the hotel, and already at 4 p.m., we found ourselves on the field. We worked a little on the touches of the ball, conservation exercises, and movement.” The meticulous attention to fundamentals reflects the coaching staff’s commitment to building a cohesive and technically proficient team for the forthcoming tournament.
As the training camp progresses, the Sparrowhawks are set to undergo two sessions on Monday, further intensifying their focus on strategic drills and physical conditioning.
The JCA Stadium will host the morning session, followed by an afternoon training stint at the Lomé Municipal Stadium.
With the objective of making a compelling impact at the UFOA-B U17 tournament, Togo’s U17 Sparrowhawks are diligently investing in their preparatory phase, recognizing the significance of a well-coordinated and skilled team in the competitive arena.
